Screen Innovations projection screen Demo – 30 August 2018

Today after a meeting that we attended in the same business park at Radionic Distributors Cape Town office we decided to make an unplanned visit to their office.

It was great to see the showroom setup and ready for a Screen Innovations demonstration. We decided it would certainly be worthwhile to take the time to experience the demonstration.

The Screen Innovations Black Diamond projection screens are designed to reject off-axis light (referred to as ambient light)

This means that even though the room might have a fair amount of light from the door being open and the overhead lights being on, this projection screen still performs well.

This screen is an 80″ screen, running at a 0.8 gain. A Vivitek HK 2288 UHD/4k projector is being used in this demonstration, which (while uncalibrated, just installed and projecting “out the box”) looks fantastic on this screen, even with the door open and lights on.

Below are a few photos from the demonstration with the user selectable ambient back lighting switched to different colours. This is purely a user preference if you would like to have the LED back lighting on or off. It is a great feature to be able to use the lighting as opposed to overhead lights.

If you would like a demonstration of this stunning projection screen, or are looking to upgrade your home cinema projection solution feel free to get in contact with us to arrange a meeting to discuss this.

Camps Bay Dolby Atmos Home Cinema

On the 1st of August we started work on this Dolby Atmos home cinema. We are converting an extra room that was planned to be a music room, into a high quality home cinema.

This is a behind the scenes look at the home cinema build. We briefly touch on some of the design elements and room measurements. If there are any queries about this home cinema build we welcome you asking them.
