THE BRIEF
We are proud to have been appointed to carry out the installation of the audio system for Cheyne Morrisby in his new restaurant, Fire Monkey.
Fire Monkey is located in Claremont, Cape Town. Its an Asian Fusion restaurant with the most incredible flavours imaginable. It was a true honour to be contacted by him to install audio in yet another restaurant for him.
From the outset our discussion with Cheyne was to make the audio system as simple as possible to use, with as little equipment as possible required. The location for an equipment rack was not immediately noticeable too, so we decided to look at doing Sonos wireless speakers to ensure that installation was easy and the ability to play music to the speakers was seamless and easy.
The installation included the upgrade of the wifi system to a Ubiquti Long Range wifi access point, a Sonos Boost and 4 Sonos SL One speakers. Two of the Sonos SL One speakers are installed discretely into the bar and the other two Sonos speakers are mounted on Vogels for Sonos wall mount brackets.
Overall the installation is discreet and the sound fills the room with high quality background music.
As we say, we are proud of this installation and it is certainly a great way to start off 2020!
