THE BRIEF

Mirror Edge Networks is proud to have been contacted to carry out the service and maintenance on this stunning Bang & Olufsen installation in Constantia, South Africa.

This Bang & Olufsen installation features a whole house BeoLink multiroom audio system. With the focus of the system being the BeoVision 11-55 television with BeoLab 9 floor standing speakers in the Lounge. The Lounge features a 5.1 surround sound system powered by the televisions built in Dolby Digital 7.1 surround sound processor. This connects to the BeoLab 9 front left and right speakers, BeoLab 2 subwoofer and BeoLab 4000 rear speakers to create an immersive surround sound experience.
The lounge features a BeoSound 3200 CD player mounted on a credenza and connected via MasterLink. This enables CD’s to be played back on the speaker system in the lounge, or in the master bedroom where a BeoLab 3500 wall mounted link room speaker is installed.

The sources connected to this Bang & Olufsen television include:

• DSTV Explora 1 High Definition decoders
• Apple TV player
• Samsung BluRay DVD player
• BeoSound 3200 CD player

The house features a Samsung 40″ television in the lounge which is connected to an independent DSTV Explora 1 decoder that is located in the lounge. This enables news and television watching to take place in the kitchen. A Samsung 40″ television is installed in the master bedroom and connected to the same DSTV decoder as the kitchen.

Mirror Edge Networks is proud to carry out the service and maintenance on this Bang & Olufsen installation, which includes the following:

• Maintaining and servicing the BeoSound 3200 CD player (cleaning the Laser Optic, cleaning the sensors, cleaning and oiling the door’s wire mechanism)
• Maintaining and servicing the BeoVision 11-55 television (clearing error codes caused by MasterLink faults, ensuring speaker distances / levels / settings are correct, ensuring the display is clean and the internal boards have no dust build up or corrosions / residue)
• Ensuring the LinkRoom speakers are set to the correct link room settings
• Making sure all DSTV frequencies are set correctly and HD picture is visible in both the Kitchen and the Master Bedroom.
• Keeping all cabling neat and tidy and in good working condition.

This is a stunning installation that has been a pleasure to look after.
