THE BRIEF
Mirror Edge Networks is proud to have been appointed to carry out the upgrade to the internet services and WiFi in this stunning Camps Bay house.
As fibre internet has become available in Camps Bay we are carrying out installations of new routers and WiFi to ensure that our clients can make the most of the new high speed internet.
To cover this Camps Bay house with WiFi we installed 3 Ubiquti UAP-AC Long Range WiFi access points. These are powered by a centrally located Network POE switch located in an equipment cabinet.
We chose to install the UniFi WiFi access points as they have a central control panel which can be easily managed if the configuration of the access points needs to be changed. The coverage and power of the WiFi access points is also well rated and suitable for a large residential WiFi installation.
The installation of this WiFi equipment will now enable our clients and their guests to be able to stream music from their mobile phones to the various speakers located around the property. This upgrade will also enable us to install Apple TV’s at the various televisions located across this 5 bedroom villa.
With the configuration, cabling installation and equipment installation, this whole WiFi installation took just over 6 hours to complete.
