THE BRIEF
A story about a Bang & Olufsen BeoVision Avant television and the integration of a BeoSound 9000 CD player for a client of ours in Camps Bay, Cape Town.
We recently visited a Bang & Olufsen Camps Bay client to carry out the service of his network and resolve the issues of the BeoVision Avant television not connecting to his BeoSound 4 CD player. The issue was easily resolved by replacing a faulty network switch. Fast forward to today and the addition of a special request, a BeoSound 9000 CD player.
When we completed the repair of the installation for our client a few weeks ago he told us that he really wanted to get a new BeoSound 9000 CD player. He has an extensive CD collection in the region of about 3500 CD’s. The CD’s are catalogued and in good condition, stored carefully. With such an extensive CD collection it was important for our client to be able to have an easy to use CD player, besides the ability to showcase his “now playing”… The BeoSound 9000 CD player is the perfect solution.

Fast forward to today, we had quite a task on our hands. Relocation of the MasterLink cabling to the television and reconfiguring the ML/NL converter from a BeoSound 4 configuration to a BeoSound 9000. Once we had the cabling installed it was time to mount the BeoSound 9000 on its floor stand.
A few settings changes were required on the BeoVision Avant television and calibration of the BeoLab 5 floor standing HiFi speakers was part of our service work on site today.
The television installation currently features DSTV satellite television and an Apple TV. The Apple TV will be upgraded to an Apple TV 4k on our next visit to site.
We are also discussing the inclusion of a turntable on the left of the BeoLab 5 speaker to enable our client to playback his records on his Bang & Olufsen too.
