Mirror Edge Networks has been carrying out the service and maintenance of Bang & Olufsen television and audio system installations since 2012. Todays upgrade included the installation of a new LG C9 77″ OLED television to replace our clients existing Bang & Olufsen BeoVision 4-65 plasma display television.
As new ultra high definition televisions change the way that we watch television shows, series and movies it is always important to pay attention to the relevant upgrades that are presented to us that are going to benefit our clients. The original Bang & Olufsen installation in this stunning apartment was carried out in 2007, and as such, it was time to reconsider the display to something more up to date with todays video formats.
The Bang & Olufsen system includes a pair of BeoLab 8000 floor standing HiFi speakers, a BeoLab 2 subwoofer and all image and audio processing is handled by the BeoSystem 3 processor. The BeoSystem 3 processor was a market leader in its time of manufacture, with 4 HDMI inputs and 2 DVI outputs, for primary display and a secondary display (usually a projector with projection screen). This means that we are able to connect a DSTV decoder, BluRay DVD player and Apple TV to this television installation and control all sources via the Bang & Olufsen Beo4 remote control
As Bang & Olufsen have chosen to form a technology partnership with LG and use their OLED televisions as the display technology on their new televisions, our client chose to use the new C9 as his new display in his apartment when replacing the ageing BeoVision 4 plasma display. This has been an excellent decision as the picture quality of the LG OLED is quite simply staggering. With this in mind, we would highly recommend considering an LG television if you would like to upgrade the display on an existing BeoSystem 3 based Bang & Olufsen television system.
