THE BRIEF
We are proud to have been approached to carry out a full technology upgrade in this stunning Sea Point apartment in Cape Town.
Initially we were contacted by our client to review the multi-room audio system and ascertain why it was not working correctly.
We found that some of the cabling was not suitable for our clients requirements, which was easily rectified.
We then added additional functionality to the multi-room audio system by integrating the television sound for listening to the news channels in the bedrooms too.
Once we had completed the audio system service, we were asked to review the WiFi installation within the apartment.
We immediately found that the default router that had been supplied by the fibre internet provider did not offer enough range to cover the whole apartment.
We chose to install 2 x UniFi UAP-AC-LR which are their premium long range versions of their WiFi antennas.
For best coverage of the WiFi we pulled new network cabling through the ceiling to the passage way that links all bedrooms and installed a second WiFi antenna in the kitchen. This covers the entire apartment including the patio with strong WiFi signal.
