As summer approaches it is worth while to consider having your audio video system serviced.
During the year dust builds up on all electronic components and this is the perfect opportunity to have our technicians visit you to ensure that this is tidied correctly.
It is also a good idea to have the system checked to make sure that everything is working correctly before your guests that you plan entertaining arrive.
As a reference, this is the type of service that we carry out. These photos have been provided to us by our colleagues from Smart Nest.
We start our service by inspecting all cabling that has been installed. We consider where all the cabling is connected and what the purpose of the cables are. Once we have a full account of what cabling is being used, we label everything.
Next all the cabling is removed from the equipment cabinet. This is a great reference showing what goes into an average audio video installation these days.
As you can see even an installation that is fairly recent can have a significant dust build up.
We always make sure to use the correct cleaning products so that equipment cabinets aren’t damaged. Possibly even a bit of polish once all the dusts has been cleaned up.
The next stage is the reinstallation process of the electronics back into the rack.
It is always a good idea to use cable sheathing or spiral wrap to make sure that the cables are kept neatly together.
Once the equipment reinstallation is completed all looks neat and tidy. This helps for future servicing as well as maintaining a clean equipment cabinet in future.
This helps with removing electronic equipment from the rack for future servicing and cleaning too.
As mentioned before, with summer approaching it is now the perfect time of the year to have your audio video installation checked and serviced if needs be.
Thank you to Smart Nest for the use of their photos in this post.
